Use the check-in QR code below to record attendee attendance.
Check-In QR Code: https://canva.link/404ya86a6cdxgvy
You can either print the QR code ahead of time or have it ready on your phone for attendees to scan when they arrive. Please make sure everyone checks in so we have an accurate attendance count.
how will people find us and know we're a Diabetes Link meetup?
We’ve included a few options to help attendees identify your meetup!
Meetup Flyers and Table Signs: https://canva.link/404ya86a6cdxgvy
Feel free to print the flyer and display it at your meetup. You can also choose either of the table sign options provided to help attendees recognize the group when they arrive.
We recommend placing the flyer or sign somewhere visible so people can easily find you.
You can also let the staff at your meetup location know that people may be arriving for a Diabetes Link meetup. That way, if anyone asks where the group is, staff can direct them to you!
what is the November meetup activity?
As part of our November meetups, we’re inviting attendees to participate in a special community activity using a disposable camera and postcards.
Activity Instructions:
Your meetup kit will include postcards and a disposable camera. Please review the instructions below ahead of your meetup so you know how to get everything set up!
You’ll also receive a printed copy of the activity instructions to display at your meetup so attendees can read through the directions themselves.
How It Works
1. Set up one spot.
Pick a central activity area and lay out the postcards with a few pens. Put the disposable camera there, too.
2. Let people take it from there.
The postcards start with the prompt: “Diabetes is the least interesting thing about me:” and leave room for attendees to finish the sentence. No pressure or explanation needed. Anyone can fill out a postcard, take a photo, or skip the activity entirely.
3. Keep it moving.
Pass the camera around during the meetup. Any photo works: people, food, the room, or a moment someone enjoyed. Encourage everyone to participate, but keep it casual and optional!
4. Send it back.
When the meetup wraps up, place the disposable camera and completed postcards in the prepaid envelope and drop it in the mail within 3 days after the meetup. We’ll receive digital copies of the photos and send the printed photos back to you.
Thank you for helping make this activity fun, creative, and a way for our community to share a little more about who they are beyond diabetes!
how do I send the disposable camera back after the meetup?
After your meetup, please follow the return instructions below to send the disposable camera and any completed postcards back to The Diabetes Link.

Please review the instructions carefully and make sure the camera and postcards are mailed back by the specified deadline.
what photos and videos should I capture during the meetup?
We’d love your help capturing the experience! In addition to having attendees pass around the disposable camera, we’re asking hosts to take a few photos and short video clips on their phones.
If possible, please capture:
- The group: A few photos of everyone together.
- The activity setup: Photos of the disposable camera, postcards, pens, stickers, swag, and table signs.
- The experience: Candid moments of attendees connecting, participating in the activity, and hanging out together.
- Short video clips: A few quick clips that help show what the meetup was like.
The more photos and videos we can collect, the more we can share the story of our community and highlight these connections on The Diabetes Link’s social media and other communication channels.
Important: Before taking photos or videos, please ask attendees whether they’re comfortable being photographed or recorded and whether they consent to The Diabetes Link sharing that content on its website and social media. Please respect anyone who prefers not to be included.
what do I need to do after the meetup?
After your meetup, please complete the host feedback form below. This helps us understand how the meetup went and how we can continue improving the experience for hosts and attendees.
Host Feedback Form:

The form is also where you can upload your meetup photos and videos. Please include any photos or video clips you captured during the meetup so our team can use them for community storytelling, when consent has been provided.
