what screening can do for you

  • Reduces your risk of DKA — diabetic ketoacidosis is a serious medical emergency, and screening can help you avoid it

  • Allows for early detection, planning, and preparation for a diagnosis

  • May open the door to clinical trials

  • Can delay the onset of T1D with FDA-approved therapies

who should screen?

If you have a family member with Type 1 diabetes, you are at higher risk. But because 90% of T1D diagnoses come with no family history, screening is worth considering for anyone who wants to know their risk.
